Brazil Green Building Volunteer Adventure

Thank you to all the volunteers that made this years Green Building project such a success. A special thanks goes out to Eco-librium Sustainable Adventures for their hand in organizing this project/adventure. Everyone that joined us to help out worked their very hardest and we are grateful for that. We will be posting video and picture to the site shortly!

Modular Straw Bale Home

Construct & Conserve are building a Passive Solar Modular Straw Bale home in Pickering, On. This will be the second modular straw home in Ontario and will feature some of newest green building technology to date. We are working in co-operation with OTWS to build/install these modular units. This house will have a very modern look with low slope roof lines and large overhangs. Through proper orientation of the house on the site we will manage to harness the winter sun to passively heat the home. As a secondary heating source there will be a large Tempcast masonry wood burning fireplace. *New Photos Added

Big Foot Log Home
2010-12-04

This beautiful home is situated in Craigleith, On which is just outside of Collingwood. Practically walk out the door and be on the ski hills. This home boasts some of the nicest carpentry such as log walls and ceilings, dormers, 2 stage cedar fascia, cedar under soffit, 6" cedar cathedral ceiling, timber ridge/valley & hip beams and cedar window trim. Ecuador Volunteer Adventure
2010-05-25

Construct & Conserve recently returned from Ecuador where we established a Green Building Volunteering Program. We travelled to the Cloud Forest to help a local Nature Reserve called "La Hesperia" build a school entirely out of bamboo and concrete/block. Special Thanks to all the hard work our volunteers put in. We look forward to working with you again in Itacare, Brazil where we will be building Rainwater Harvesting cisterns and compostable toilets.
